Rural Missions

Great Day of Caring comes to Rural Mission!

On Thursday, September 11, the Rural Mission hosted two eager and hardworking volunteer groups wanting to help needy families on the Sea Islands and help the Mission with some long overdue improvements. They volunteered through the Trident United Way Great Day of Caring.

The Rural Mission hosted 25 volunteers from Rawle Murdy Associates, Inc., an advertising firm in Charleston, seeking to do what they can to help the community. A group of seven ladies from the Coastal Community Foundation also came to the Mission facilities on Camp Care Road to help brighten up the buildings used by our Housing Workcamp Volunteers, senior citizens that meet at the Mission each week, and migrant worker children

It was a great Day of Caring indeed! Our sincere thanks to these volunteers and to the staff at Trident United Way. Volunteers are needed every day for all kinds of needs and service, from office work and care of migrant children to home repair and construction. Please call the Rural Mission at 843-766-1720.
