St. Andrews Youth and Families have a great day!
Over the Easter school break, a group of 20 volunteers from St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Mt. Pleasant, S.C. came to the Mission to enjoy a day in missions and discipleship. All had a good day as they worked hard, gave of themselves and learned about the Rural Mission and its different ministries. We are very grateful for making this a more blessed Easter week at the Mission. They found out what many of us already know ... the Mission is a special place. It is special because of the people who come!
The group took on two projects. One group worked very hard to clean up and rake the yard and the migrant children play areas. Many, many large bags of leaves were taken away. The other group worked hard to water seal the front and back porches and steps for the home being built for Mrs. Mack on Wadmalaw Island. They quickly completed this work and had time to spend with her sweetheart of a dog, Diamond.
