Rural Mission: Inspiration

Linda Gadson's warm smile and inner beauty are a greeting even before she speaks, and when she speaks, people are "transported." Her well-worn Bible is always at hand. A Rural Mission staff member for twenty-seven years, and Executive Director for seventeen of them, Ms. Gadson's energy, creativity and hard work seem as infinite as the tidal flow of rivers and creeks that surround this Sea Island region.

"We try to look after the whole person, whatever their needs may be," she says. "Love is a wonderful inspiration. There is always someone to look after, a list of things which need to be done, and much more we could be doing for this community."

Ms. Gadson is constantly searching for the means to serve through Rural Mission's work. These resources, whether clothing, food, materials, transportation, or funding, are the keys to continuing this good work.
